Despite the high expectations of party insiders, Liberal leader Stephane Dion continues to flop at the polls. Both Prime Minister Harper and NDP leader Jack Layton continue to out-perform him on questions of leadership and trust, as well as basic competence to govern. And the only real issue of substance that Dion has championed — the carbon tax, continues to be a tough sell.
