Liberal leadership candidate Michael Ignatieff just can’t seem to get a break these days. He has earned a reputation for being “gaffe prone,” and his opponents will do everything they can to keep the stereotype alive.
During the war between Israel and Hamas, Iggy infamously quipped that he was “not loosing sleep” over the Israeli-caused civilian causalities in the Lebanese city of Qana. The other day, however, in an interview with Quebec TV Iggy reversed his stance, saying he “regretted” such comments, and now considers Qana to be a “war crime.”
His opponents in the Liberal party- the same people who blasted him for being too pro-Israel during the war- are now acting shocked, SHOCKED that he would dare say such harsh words against the Jewish state.
