New Democratic Party leader Jack Layton has recently begun calling for a complete withdrawal all Canadian troops from Afghanistan. Jack apparently believes that by serving there, Canadians are being the unwilling pawns of George W. Bush and his evil imperialistic New World Order… or something.
Jack also says that instead of making war, Canadians should attempt to negotiate peace with the Afghanis. “Does that mean talking to the Taliban?” the press asked. “I think we need to bring all parties to the table,” Layton replied.
