It seems many Israelis are now starting to openly question the purpose of their most recent war against Hezbollah, or at least the Prime Minister’s leadership of it. After all, the degree to which Israel is “better off” because of the conflict is highly debatable; an armed and dangerous Hezbollah is still roaming Lebanon and the two Israeli soldiers are still in hostile captivity. According to a recent poll, 63% of Israeli voters now want Ehud Olmert to quit.
