Warren Buffet, the amazingly successful professional business investor / stock-picker and second-richest man on earth, announced earlier this week that he will be donating over 30 billion dollars of his personal fortune to charity, through the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.
In doing so, Buffet will be giving up 80% of his wealth, making it perhaps the largest act of charitable giving in history.
