The world is going to get a new country very soon. Last week the citizens of Montenegro voted to separate from Serbia, and form their own independent nation. Serbia will now be all that is left of the country-formerly-known-as-Yugoslavia. Ever since Communism ended, Yugoslavia has slowly been falling apart, piece by piece, as Croatia, Bosnia/Hercegovina, Macedonia, and Slovenia all left to became independent states. Now that Montenegro is gone too, one of the big questions of the 20th Century has finally been resolved. Can the people of the Balkans work together?
Answer: No, they cannot. I hope the millions of deaths were worth it.
