Last week the infamous al-Qaida member Zacarias Moussaoui was sentenced by an American court to serve the rest of his life in prison. Moussaoui was found guilty of being an active conspirator in the 9-11 plot, and a terrorist conspirator in general.
During his trial, Moussaoui was very bombastic, often yelling Allah this, martyr that. He openly confessed to being involved with the 9-11 plotting, but since the verdict, he’s now changed his story and is professing innocence.
“I wish to withdraw my guilty plea and ask the court for a new trial to prove my innocence of the Sept. 11 plot,” he said. Referring to the rest of the hijackers, he added “I never knew them or anything about their operation.” Gotta hand it to him for trying!
