Former Prime Minister Paul Martin is no longer the official leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. His formal departure took place early this week, triggering a high profile leadership race to succeed him.
Hardly anyone of importance has declared themselves to be a candidate yet. In fact, most high profile Liberals have actually stated they DON’T want to run. What will eventually emerge will thus likely be one of the Liberal Party’s most lackluster campaigns- and thus leaders- in decades. And Paul Martin was already pretty lackluster to begin with.
