Some of Canada’s provincial premiers have been getting into a bit of shenanigans recently. First was Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty, who in the last couple of days has been whining that a) Ontario doesn’t get enough seats in the Senate, and the Senate should therefore be abolished, and b) that Premiers’ conferences suck, because when “you get 14 people around the table, [...] you’ll suddenly think that each of the 14 has got equal clout-” which of course would never do.
Then we have Alberta Premier Ralph Klein, who recently hurled a book at someone who displeased him- on the floor of the Alberta legislature. The person was a 17-year-old girl, but hey, Ralph has limited tolerance for dissent.

Hi, just stumbled on your page from reddit. It’s not an article I would typically read, but I loved your perspective on it. Thanks for making a blog post worth reading!
