The Liberal Party of Canada is now trailing in the polls, the conventional wisdom is that Prime Minister Paul Martin will not be re-elected.
In response, the Liberals have released a flurry of new negative campaign ads, all of which personally attack Stephen Harper, the Conservative Party leader. A re-occurring charge in the spots is that Harper is “pro-American” and has “American friends.” This are apparently unforgivable sins, at least according to whoever made these commericals.
