Prime Minister Martin has somewhat of a habit of making PR blunders.
His critics are now accusing him of waiting way too long before making an official statement on Hurricane Katrina. As this cartoon shows, many other people made official statments before him, which was sort of embarassing considering he is supposed to be the only guy speaking for Canada on the world stage.
When Martin finally did make his official statement, he did it during a break from a big historical anniversary party he was attending in Alberta, which needless to say, gave rise to all sorts of other criticisms.
