Prime Minister Paul Martin has now officially come out against the US Missile Defense plan, and says Canada will have nothing to do with it. This finally ends many years of speculation and controversy on the matter.
The announcement came on the heels of his 2005 Budget, which pledged an increase of several billions of dollars to help fund Canada’s badly cash-strapped armed forces.
I think the former piece of news has now outshined the latter, much to his disappointment.
