Prime Minister Paul Martin has been in Sri Lanka recently, visiting the devastated areas hit by the Tsunami. He has has also been visiting various high profile Sri Lankans who are connected with the vicious Tamil Tiger terrorist group.
The Tamil Tigers have a huge base of operations within Canada, and this has proven to be increasingly controversial in recent years. The Liberals tend to turn a blind eye to their terrorist ways as the Tamil immigrant community tends to be very Liberal friendly, voting wise. This latest encounter in Sri Lanka is merely one more chapter in this long tale of happy Tiger-Canadian relations. Here’s a good link to the story.
