Election Fun Time!

Election Fun Time!

I’ve created a quirky election scorecard that you can print out and color in, if you are so inclined. Here’s how it works:

In the 2000 election Bush won all of the “swing states” in his column. If he wants to win again, he’ll likely have to win those six states again.

Kerry’s column has all the swing states Gore won in 2000. Since Gore didn’t win however, if Kerry wants to win he’ll have to “steal” some of the swing states from the Bush column.

On election night, you can color in the states as the networks call em, with blue for Kerry and red for Bush. Basically, if the wrong colors show up in the candidate’s column, that is bad news for him. You can look at the numbers inside the states (the electoral votes) to determine just how much it will cost him.

I’m not really sure what this is supposed to prove. I just like following the swing states and wanted something to color in. Here’s the printable version.
