In the wake of the Iraqi Prison Torture scandal, many Democrats have been calling for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to resign.
If that was to happen, Rummy’s much vilified Neo-Con deputy, Paul Wolfowitz, would become the new Secretary. As I doubt many Dems would like to see that, I assume this display of outrage is largely just for show.
