Well, I am sure everyone has heard about the big Iraqi torture scandal thing that is going on now. Some moron American troops did a bunch of cruel and unsual things to some Iraqi prisoners in the infamous Abu Ghraib prison, and the photos have been circulating everywhere, including the Middle East.
Of course, the Arabs are outraged. It has not been a PR boon for America’s reputation in the region, to say the least.
The six offenders have all been charged, and widely and repeatedly condemned by the US government. But I imagine our Middle Eastern friends don’t talk about that very much.
