These days, pretty much all you see on the network news is negative stuff about Iraq. Killings this, bombings that, rebel this, rape this, torture that, crazy cleric this, suicide bomber that.

There must be some good news. In fact, I know there is. However slowly, Iraq is making progress towards democratization and freedom. I am sure there are countless stories of optimism. But as they say, good news is no news.

Ah well. I suppose it is still better than the coverage on the Canadian news networks.
