Prime Minister Paul Martin, who if you want to get technical about it, was never elected to his position, has apparently decided to delay Canada’s next election by a month or more. Scheduling elections is one of the Prime Minister’s powers, and one that is gleefully exploited to the fullest extent for political purposes.
The pundits were originally expecting a “Spring” election, but then this big scandal broke, and now a “Summer” election is looking more likely. Some even speculate “Fall.” Either way, Paul isn’t telling. Why should the public know a bothersome detail like that?
