This constitutional amendment banning gay marriage is really testing the will of many non-religous Republicans. Or even the religious ones who still disagree with the idea of outlawing things sorely on the basis of finding them personally objectable.
It’s been said that this amendment could prove far more divisive among members of the right- who have a variety of different views- than members of the left, who are unified in their opposition.
