Abdul Qadeer Khan is the father of Pakistan’s nuclear program, and the man who helped transform his country from third world stink-hole to nuclear-armed power nation.
Dr. Khan’s reputation has taken a nose-dive recently however. British and American spies recently revealed that the doctor was at the center of a massive nuclear smuggling ring, in which nuke-making technology was sold to North Korea, Iran, and Libya.
Dr. Khan has since apologized, saying he just got greedy.
