This is probably my most local-issue cartoon ever.
This weekend, Mr. Michael Moore, Acadamy-Award Winning Leftist Filmmaker was in my city promoting his new book, “Dude, George Bush is a Moron!” or something along those lines. The crowd was insane, there were hundreds of people. It was even bigger than the crowd that turned out to see Queen Elizabeth last year.
Michael Moore has sort of an odd fascination with Canada that I find rather superficial and patronizing. Despite his claims to the contrary, I don’t think Moore understands Canada at all, and only likes my country because he sees it as a sort of utopian version of his ideal USA.
During the signing he chastised Canada’s rising popularity of the “United Right” movement, saying, essentially, that we’d be fools to change the Canadian status quo that he loves so much (yet doesn’t live under).
