Mr. Sharif Ali bin al-Hussein is not technically the crown prince of Iraq, but he is related to the country’s last King (Faisal II, deposed and killed in 1958) and is the only current claimant to the throne.
He leads a group called the “Constitutional Monarchy Movement” that aims to restore the Iraqi monarchy under some sort of democratic framework.
The movement is not as popular as it once was, mainly because Mr. al-Hussein has lived most of his life in exile, and barely even speaks Arabic.
Oh yeah, and in other news Burger King opens in Iraq.
