President Truman had a sign on his desk that said “The Buck Stops Here.”

Apparently, in the Bush administration the buck stops at CIA director George Tenent, since he is currently being blamed for the slip-up in US intelligence that led to the President making some apparently untrue statements about the extent of Iraq’s nuclear weapons program.
