As part of the preparation that comes with an “Orange Alert” warning, the newly created Department of Homeland Security advised Americans that duct tape could be a useful material in sealing off doors and windows to defend against chemical attacks.
However, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the whole “Orange Alert” was just a lot of paranoia about nothing, and the “duct tape” episode was just an exercise in hysteria.
