President Vladimir Putin of Russia has decided to bring back the Soviet era “Red Star” logo as the symbol of the Russian armed forces.

This is his latest controversial resurrection of Soviet imagery. In the past, Putin has brought back the Soviet national anthem, and the Soviet military flag. He has also established a very Lenin-esque personality cult.

Official motto of Russia: “Don’t worry NATO allies, everything is different now. No Communism here, no siree….”
