Thousands of Iranian students have taken to the streets in the biggest show of public defiance in years.
The young reformists are calling for increased freedoms and democracy, following the death sentence of a popular Iranian professor. Dr. Hashem Aghajari had recently been questioning the divinity of the ruling Mullahs, a crime that the Islamic council has dubbed “traitorous”.
