Chancellor Gehard Schroder of Germany, the most anti-Bush politician in Europe, was narrowly re-elected yesterday.
His platform consisted of attacking Bush and his war efforts, in an attempt to divert voter attention from the crumbling German economy.
It is ironic if you think about it, because diverting attention from the economy is precisely what Bush has been criticized for doing at home.
