Pakistan’s Military President, Pervez Musharaff has once again modified the Pakistani constitution in an attempt to centralize his personal power even more.
While he did acknowledge the need for eventual democracy, he seems to have an underlying fear of political rivalries. Former Prime Minister Benzir Bhutto, for example, is explicitly forbidden from ever holding another political office, under Mushraff’s new reforms.
