The publisher of the popular Canadian Newspaper, the Ottawa Citizen, was fired last Monday shortly after “allowing” the printing of a scathing editorial critizing Prime Minister Chreiten.
In Canada, most of the media is controlled by a few rich plutocrats, many of whom are close friends of Chreiten. This latest firing raises serious questions about just how free Canada’s free press really is.
