Zimbabwe’s President, Robert Mugabe, is running for re-election this year.
Mugabe has been in power since the 70′s, and his country’s electoral process is quite questionable. His campaign has mostly consisted of slamming his opponents with vicious lies- lies that are widely believed by the generally uneducated Zimbabwe voters.
Fear and intimidation also play large roles in his elections, but Mugabe’s biggest misstep so far has been forbidding foreign electoral supervisors from entering his country.
