The United States and its allies are at war, but with who?

Terrorists are the scariest type of foe, because they are not native to just one country, and have no governmental status.

Osama Bin Ladin may be the current de facto leader, but suppose he was killed tomorow. Would terrorism suddenly stop?

Not likely.
